LEEF Blattwerk was founded in 2013 when founder Claudio Fritz-Vietta discovered the millennia-old tradition of palm-leaf tableware during a trip to India. We have taken this tradition a step further and created sustainable, stylish alternatives for modern everyday life—made from palm leaves, the only truly climate-neutral material for disposable tableware and packaging.
Future-proof patents and IP protection in Europe, the U.S., and India secure our leadership in innovation—in quality, design, and true sustainability. Through our nonprofit initiative, LEEF unlimited, we have already saved over 100 hectares of rainforest at festivals such as Lollapalooza, the Carnival of Cultures, and Garbic.
With the acquisition of wisefood—a full-range green retailer known from the TV show *Die Höhle der Löwen*—we have grown into Germany’s leading sustainable packaging group: over 800 products, established B2B structures, and delivery options ranging from small packages to containers. We have already replaced over 500 million plastic products with our sustainable alternatives—and this is just the beginning.

We are LEEF, a Berlin-based company dedicated to combating the increasing consumption of single-use plastic products. Facing the climate crisis, we aim to help preserve the world for future generations. This is why we left our traditional jobs for more meaningful work.
Our team is specialized in palm leaf like no other. As a result, we have securely established ourselves on the market and now offer Europe’s broadest palm leaf product portfolio – a portfolio which keeps growing.
