With our brands LEEF and wisefood we develop and distribute well-designed products made from renewable raw materials such as palm leaf, sugarcane, wood or bamboo for hospitality and events – products that don't force you to choose between functionality and responsibility. As palm leaf pioneers we are convinced: nature often already provides what we need – you just have to look closely.
Our story
LEEF Blattwerk was founded in 2013, when our founder Claudio Fritz-Vietta discovered the thousand-year-old tradition of palm leaf tableware on a trip to India. We took that tradition further and created stylish alternatives for modern everyday life with LEEF – made from palm leaf, a certified climate-neutral material for single-use tableware and packaging. Patents and IP protection in Europe, the USA and India secure our innovation leadership in quality, design and material expertise. Through our LEEF unlimited initiative we protect rainforest together with the World Land Trust, at events large and small.
Following our merger with the professional full-range supplier wisefood – known from the German TV show “Die Höhle der Löwen” – we now offer everything hospitality & events need: over 500 items, established B2B structures and delivery volumes from a single parcel to a full container, online and offline. We bring particular expertise and in-house developments to the fields of palm leaf and edible tableware.
Whether street food, restaurant, take-away or equipping an entire festival: we think in solutions, not in standard products. And because not every application needs the same material, as a material & solutions partner we find the right one for every use case.

Recognised & committed:
The international rating organisation EcoVadis has awarded us the gold medal for our sustainability management! EcoVadis assessed our sustainability management system – from environmental protection and fair working conditions to ethical conduct and sustainable procurement. We reached the 96th percentile in the assessment, placing us among the top 4% of companies assessed. The gold medal reflects the quality of our sustainability management system and our commitment to greater transparency across the entire value chain.
Since September 2026, LEEF Blattwerk has also been a member of Ecopreneur.eu. As an associated corporate member and part of the Low-Carbon Circular Economy Advocacy Group, we will bring our practical market experience in sustainable foodservice and packaging solutions more strongly into political and regulatory discussions. We no longer wanted to merely react to regulatory developments, but to help shape them actively. Ecopreneur brings together and represents the interests of companies committed to sustainable business – and we are actively involved.

We are a team from Potsdam with a clear stance: for us, sustainability is an absolute necessity on the way to a liveable future. The climate crisis isn't an abstract problem to us – it's the reason we're here. That's why we left our conventional jobs behind, to work on something that really matters. As palm leaf pioneers we are convinced: nature often already provides what we need – you just have to look closely.
With expertise, agility and passion, we develop and distribute alternatives to plastic tableware made from natural materials such as palm leaf, wood, bamboo or bagasse. With this we want to advance a circular economy that is good for people and the environment.
Management
CCO Marco Holz, CEO Jens Christoph, COO Robert Fenyvesi and CFO Eva Unruh (from left to right) make up the management team of LEEF Blattwerk. The four experts bring many years of experience from a wide range of sectors and industries – from start-ups and mid-sized companies to large international corporations. Their professional backgrounds range from Fleurop Interflora and KPMG to MSC, Daimler Benz and Zalando.
In an agile, collaborative working environment, the team combines management expertise across the entire breadth of the company – from scouting, supply chain, marketing, sales & logistics and finance through to people & culture.
